Gelişen yapı sektörü ve teknoloji ile beraber betondan beklenen ihtiyaçlar her geçen gün artmaktadır. Bu ihtiyaçlar beton içinde katkı maddelerin kullanılmasıyla karşılanmaya çalışılmaktadır. Yine endüstriyel atıklar oluşturduğu çevre kirliliğinin yanı sıra, bunların imhası ve geri dönüşümü de çeşitli mali ve teknolojik problemlere neden olmaktadır. Bu endüstriyel atıkların inşaat sektöründe kullanılması, atıkların güvenli bir şekilde yok edilmesinin yanında hammadde elde etmek için çevreye verilen zararların azaltılmasını da sağlamaktadır. Bu çalışmada sabit su/çimento oranında (0.55) ve iki farklı çimento tipi (CEM II/B-M (P-LL) 32.5 N ve CEM I 42.5 R) kullanılarak hazırlanmış karışımlarda polipropilen fiberlere alternatif olarak endüstriyel atık olan polietilen tereftalat’ların (PET) betonda kullanılabilirliği araştırılmıştır. Üretilen betonlarda, agrega yerine farklı oranlarda kullanılan PET’lerin betonun taze ve sertleşmiş özellikleri üzerindeki etkileri, PET kullanım miktarının betonun özelliklerine etkisi, polipropilen fiberli betonlarla karşılaştırmalı olarak incelenmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre PET kullanım miktarına bağlı olarak betonun mekanik ve fiziksel performansını düşürdüğü, fakat piyasada kullanılan polipropilen fiberlere göre alternatif olarak kullanılabileceği görülmüştür.
The expected needs from concrete with the developing construction sector and technology are increasing every day. These needs are eliminated by the use of admixtures materials in the concrete. Their disposal and recycling as well as environmental pollution created by industrial wastes are causing to various financial and technological problems. The utilization of industrial waste in the construction sector, alongside the destruction of wastes in a safe way it can be reduces of damages to the environment to get raw materials. In this study, a constant water/cement ratio (0.55) and in two different cement types (CEM II / BM (P-LL) 32.5 N and CEM I 42.5 R) was prepared mixtures. Usability of industrial waste the polyethylene terephthalate (PET) as alternative to polypropylene fibers was investigated in concrete. Effects on fresh and hardened properties of PET used different proportions instead of aggregates in concrete, the concrete properties effects of the amount of PET were investigated as comparison by concretes of polypropylene fibers. According to the obtained experimental results, the fresh and hardened properties of concrete as depending on the amount of PET and using polypropylene fibers are reducing. However, it can be used as alternative to polypropylene fibers in concrete.
